Summary

You can use FlowMate without an account. An account lets you sync sessions across devices and subscribe to Pro.
If you sign in, your sessions, stats, and preferences are stored in your account so they sync across devices.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
If you tap “✨ Generate steps,” your focus intent text is sent to OpenAI. It is not stored on our servers.
FlowMate is part of Lydia Studio. The full ecosystem-wide policy is at lydiastud.io/privacy.

Information We Collect

If you sign in:

Your email and basic profile from your sign-in provider (Google or Apple)
Your focus session history (timestamps, durations, intents, steps, notes)
Your aggregate stats (total focus time, session counts)
Your preferences (timer mode, audio settings, theme)

Stored locally on your device:

Your current session draft and recent history (for offline use and crash recovery)
UI preferences (theme, audio volumes, callout state)

If you subscribe to Pro:

A Stripe customer ID (web) or RevenueCat customer ID (mobile)
Your subscription plan, status, and renewal events

We do not see or store your full card number; payment processors handle that directly.

How We Use Information

To provide FlowMate and sync your data across your devices
To authenticate you and keep your account secure
To process subscriptions and manage your Pro entitlement
To respond to your support requests
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Service Providers

FlowMate uses these providers to operate. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy:

Supabase — database and authentication
Vercel — web hosting (logs IP, user agent for security)
Stripe — web subscription billing
RevenueCat — mobile subscription management
Apple, Google — sign-in and mobile billing
OpenAI — receives your focus intent text only when you tap “✨ Generate steps”. See OpenAI's privacy policy. We do not store the intent on our servers.
Tally.so — feedback form submissions
Expo — mobile app builds and delivery

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Data Retention

Account data: kept while your account is active. Free users see the most recent 30 days of session history; Pro subscribers see 90 days. You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@lydiastud.io.

Local data: kept on your device until you clear browser storage or uninstall the app.

Payment records: retained as required for legal and accounting purposes, even after account deletion.

Security

FlowMate is served over HTTPS. Mobile authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keystore. No system is perfectly secure; we use industry-standard practices to protect your data.

Your Rights and Choices

Access, correct, export, or delete your data: email hello@lydiastud.io from the address on your account.
Notifications: enable or disable in your device settings.
Local data: clear your browser storage or uninstall the mobile app to remove it from your device.

Children

FlowMate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be announced more prominently.
